Richard Winston Arthur is a Partner with Hunte & Co. Law Chambers. He brings more than a decade of strong commercial litigation skills and mediation experience to serve clients in the areas of succession and wills, family law, maritime/shipping, and local business matters.
As a court certified mediation practitioner, Mr. Arthur shares a passion for mediation as an alternative resolution avenue in solving complex civil and marital litigation.
A native of Barbados, Mr. Arthur received his legal education in both Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, before relocating to the BVI to join Hunte & Co. as a commercial litigation associate. As a law student at Hugh Wooding Law School, Mr. Arthur was the recipient of the George Walton Payne Scholarship (for Exceptional Leadership) and the Legal Aid Clinic Award for the most outstanding student in the Department of the Legal Aid Clinic. His legal representation abilities and affinity for promoting and maintaining client relations resulted in his elevation to Partner just three years after joining Hunte & Co.
Mr. Arthur is an active member of both the British Virgins Islands Bar Association and the Barbados Bar Association. He currently resides primarily in the U.S., where he serves as Rector of the St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
