Paul R. Edwards, is a Senior Associate with Hunte & Co. Law Chambers and operates from the firm’s BVI office. He joined the firm in 2019 and concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, probate, and succession. Prior to his association with Hunte & Co., Paul spent several years as the most senior Associate at a litigation firm in Jamaica, collaborating with a team of Associates and Paralegals. He has been lead Counsel in numerous multimillion-dollar judgments in favor of his clients.
Paul takes a pragmatic approach to practice, preferring to customize his advocacy in a way that best suits the needs of a given client or case. He is committed to working selflessly and tirelessly as he is deeply aware of the fact that the work he does affects the lives and livelihoods of real people. While of course attentive to the letter of the law, he never loses sight of the spirit of the law and what it is intended to accomplish. Clients appreciate Paul’s creative advocacy, his ability to adapt as a case unfolds, and the warmth and respect with which he treats them.
Originally from Jamaica, Paul now makes his home in Meyers, BVI. From a young age, he had a desire to serve others through advocacy, and he has a keen interest in the world of commerce and finance, which led him to pursue a career in commercial litigation. He enjoys the intellectual challenge of legal practice, but derives the most satisfaction from helping clients resolve problems that had seemed daunting or even insurmountable to them.
Paul is an avid football fan and enjoys chess. He regularly plans and assists with local events for the benefit of children in his community.
