M Georgia Gibson Henlin

A Jamaican national, M. Georgia Gibson Henlin, KC is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona and Cave Hill campuses, and Norman Manley Law School. She was called to the Jamaica Bar in 1993. In 2002, she earned a Master of Law Degree in Innovation Law and Policy from The University of Toronto in Canada where she specialized in the Law of E-Commerce and Information Technology, Legal Issues in Cyberspace, Telecommunications Economics, Wireless Communications (Spread Spectrum), Internet Law and Governance, Entertainment Law, Freedom of Expression and the Press, Intellectual Property in the Digital Era and Intellectual Property in Cyberspace. Mrs Gibson Henlin, KC was appointed to the Inner Bar in Jamaica in 2015.

Mrs. Gibson Henlin, KC is a trusted advisor known for providing solutions-based impactful advice, with her clients’ commercial requirements at the forefront. She has masterfully represented technology companies, boards of directors, financial services providers, and individuals in all courts in Jamaica and before the Privy Council. Mrs Gibson Henlin, KC brings to Hunte & Co. extensive experience in complex dispute resolution, data protection, information technology, intellectual property, and telecommunications law. Her cross-domain specializations in contentious and non-contentious fields facilitate the provision of specialist legal advice across a broad spectrum.

In addition to being an accomplished commercial litigator, Mrs Gibson Henlin, KC is an author, a Certified Information Privacy Professional, a Cybersecurity and Technology Law practitioner, and fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Mrs Gibson Henlin, KC is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association, The New York Bar Association, The International Trademarks Association, The International Technology Law Association, and is a Notary Public for Ontario. In addition, Mrs Gibson Henlin, KC is the Founder and a Director of Women in Law and the Conference & Programme Chair for Women in Law Conferences. She has been ranked in Chambers Global since 2018.
