Christina D. Hart, Hunte & Co. Law Chambers Associate Attorney, brings solid litigation experience mixed with natural-born determination to her representation of clients in both contentious and non-contentious civil and commercial matters. Her areas of practice include cross-border shareholder disputes, property disputes, contractual matters, and estate planning and litigation.
Before joining Hunte & Co. in 2017, Ms. Hart’s positions included serving as a litigation associate at a BVI law firm and as a Judicial Assistant with the Supreme Court of Jamaica. She has represented clients before BVI agencies and courts at all levels — including the Commercial Court and the Court of Appeal — in a diverse range of matters including cross-border commercial shareholder disputes, termination of liquidations and applications for restoration to the Register of Companies.
Ms. Hart does some of her best work under pressure, and never turns away from a challenge. She also relies on her intuition and people skills when working with clients and derives great satisfaction when she and her clients stay in sync. Her philosophy is that clients come first and she makes it a point to keep them updated as the matters they have placed in her care progress.
A native of Jamaica, Ms. Hart lives and works in Tortola, BVI. She is admitted to the practice law of law both countries.
Ms. Hart believes in “paying it forward” and involves herself in several charitable causes of the Red Cross Society and BVI Cancer Society. When not acting as a fierce advocate for her clients or volunteering her time, she embraces her artistic and adventurous sides by playing the violin and traveling.
